We welcome tours of all shapes and sizes!

We host numerous school tours during the months of September and October. Our school Tour Guide, Pat Atwood, is a retired 2nd grade teacher and knows her stuff! (Contact her after Labor Day at 372-5566.)

School tours include:

• A visit to the Petting Paddock
• A tractor-driven wagon ride out to the orchard to meet our Jamaican harvest workers and watch them harvest the crop. Each child may pick two apples.
• Each child will receive a small bag with an Allenholm postcard and some stickers.
• A tour of our Packing House, where you will see how apples are washed, graded, packed and stored.
• Each class will receive 1/2 bushel of utility grade apples to take back to the classroom.

Please allow at least 1 1/2 hours per tour. A picnic area is available for those who wish to bring lunches or a snack.

Motor Coach Tours, Seniors, Corporate Gatherings, Reunions
Our Farm Store, Petting Paddock and Orchard is the perfect setting for an hour or two of relaxation during a long road trip.

Step off the motor coach, breathe in our clean, country air and meet our friendly farm animals. Shop for Vermont products in our farm store, watch the busy bees in our Observation Hive and enjoy identifying our numerous antique farm tools and equipment.

With advanced notice, we will provide a tractor-drawn wagon ride out to the orchard and warm, homemade apple pie with ice cream or cheddar cheese.

Other Options
If fresh apples are available, cider pressing is a fun activity. Home-made hand cranked vanilla ice cream can be made on-site to compliment the apple pie!

Moonlight in a Vermont Orchard
Take a wagon ride through the orchard on a moonlit evening. Roast hot dogs and marshmallows at our bonfire site. Reminisce at a sing-along with all those old favorite camp songs.
